Eye Shop Ishido Store
アイショップ石堂店 32:21The convenience store where Takaki and Hanae stop on the way home in episode 2. The signboard that had been mounted around the roof was already gone when I visited. According to the owner, it had become badly corroded and dangerous, so it was removed around 2008. As of July 2009, the owner said the timing for installing a new signboard was undecided. The pole sign of the Ai Shop was also badly corroded from salt damage, and its electricity no longer lit up. It seems only a matter of time before the pole sign is removed as well. In the drama, a poster is posted on the window, but it was not there when I visited. What lies below the mailbox is not a garbage bag but a sandbag. The 'Seika Ice Cream' logo written on the bench beside the shop is also the same as in the drama. By the way, the owner lady said she is from Osaka. Viewable on Street View. 31:31:89 Inside the store. Shot around the lines 'Tono-kun, the same again?' 'This one's really good.' 'Mm.' Visiting in person, it feels narrower than the impression from the drama images. The product shelves look a bit sparse, probably because I visited in the evening. The layout of the product shelves, the refrigerated cases, the clock, the lighting and so on are nearly the same as in the drama. 31:55:21 Shot of the scene where Hanae comes out of the store and sees Takaki texting. The signboard of the auto repair shop across the road also exists exactly as in the drama.
