Sakae no Yashiro Shrine佐佳枝廼社(さかえのやしろ)2025-07-28In the third collaboration, it was decided from the start that the new illustration would show the characters in yukata. The theme was natsumode (summer shrine visits), and we also wanted to express an emotional nighttime feel, so we chose a daytime shrine and a night background inspired by the meeting spots and route for a festival date at a shrine. Sakaenoya Shrine enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu, Yuki Hideyasu, and others, and was founded by Matsudaira Shungaku, the late-Edo lord of Fukui Domain. Drawing on Shungaku, who excelled in scholarship and was called one of the Four Wise Lords, we paired it with Asuka, who also appears in scenes around the prefectural office (Fukui Castle ruins).
