Although the shop name is not clearly shown on the sign or in dialogue, in the manga panel where Kawai says 'This one's on me,' a dish called 'Dan MIX' is on the menu posted on the wall, and the dish name shows the shop's name. The shop is about a 3-minute walk from Onomichi Station. Exit the main entrance, turn left, cross the railroad crossing, and it is on the second floor of the building right in front of you. The shop has 3 tables and 4 counter seats, with a very warm and comfortable atmosphere. The proprietress is very friendly. Above the menu on the wall are keychains of Sai and Hikaru placed by Hikaru no Go fans, and the magazine rack holds items related to Hikaru no Go, such as Weekly Shonen Jump, which serialized the series, and volume 15 of the tankobon. The 'Dan MIX' Hikaru ate in the work is said to be a dish the Weekly Shonen Jump editorial staff actually ordered during an interview. [Addendum] This shop closed on May 20, 2013. The owner said she wanted to pursue something she had long wished to do. For us Hikaru no Go fans and the local regulars, this is truly regrettable news.
