To avenge Mr. Kawai, Hikaru challenged Shuhei. Even more importantly, Hikaru learned from a regular at this club about the location of Shusaku's grave. The exact location of this Go club also appears in the manga; it is inside the arcade of Onomichi's Ekimachi-dori, a short walk from the entrance. Many fans of Hikaru no Go visit Innoshima and Onomichi to trace Sai's footsteps, but few actually enter this club. Nervously, we carefully climbed the narrow stairs and pushed open the door. Although Shuhei was not there, the club was full of friendly local players. When we explained our purpose, they willingly agreed to let us take photos. Both the sign outside and the interior furnishings were exactly as depicted in the manga (May 2008). However, according to a friend who visited in September 2010, although the building housing the club has not changed, the club had moved to another room and the interior layout had changed somewhat.
