Changbala昌八剌EP 62024-11-16Zhangbao Shouzhuo City in the Tang dynasty, continued in use as the Changbala postal station in the Yuan dynasty; the site is in present-day Changji, Xinjiang. According to the Record of the Journey to the West of the Changchun Master, Qiu Chuji, Chinqai and others reached Changbala on the ninth day of the ninth month of the xinsi year (1221). The Uyghur ruler of the city, an old friend of Chinqai, held a banquet for them.
