Kabasaki Hachimangu Shrine樺崎八幡宮(かばさきはちまんぐう)2025-05-19The usual route is to take a limited express on the Ryomo Line from Kita-Senju Station in Tokyo to Ashikaga City; there are many trains every day. As of 25-12-13, the last return train departs around 8:30. Shinkansen and limited express round trips run less often and cost slightly more, so they are not recommended. Local bus service in rural Japan is sparse, so choose other transport where possible. A taxi from the Tobu Railway station costs about 4,000 yen; the JR station is slightly closer and probably cheaper. If renting bicycles, arrive in the morning, as an afternoon arrival leaves insufficient time. To buy an ema (votive plaque), you must call on site (Japanese only). Since only one elderly person handles this, waiting times are long. One ema costs 500 yen.
