TusEP 12:072026-07-04An ancient city in Iran, rendered as Tusi in the Yuanshi, Taizu Benji. In 1221, during the Mongol conquest of Khwarazm, it was taken by Tolui and then largely destroyed. Little remains from that era in present-day Tus. This spot lies at the site of a fortress from the Sasanian Persian era in the Tus region.
