Steep with many steps, making it very hesitant to climb. Coming to this area, you really feel that this is the 'Hino Plateau.' Personally, we sang 'Hino Plateau' over and over in the school song, and since I lived in the lowest area of Hino yet had to climb up to the higher ground to go to school, it feels even more so.
