The ferry 'Kumano', the prototype of the ship in Island Syndrome, was sold to the Philippines in 2007 and still operates between Batangas and Calapan. A major renovation was carried out the same year, so the interior is completely different from before. It is now named ST AUGUSTINE OF HIPPO, and tickets can be booked at https://travel.2go.com.ph/.
