Shimogamo Shrine Rei no Mori下鴨神社 礼の森18:292024-10-11Shimogamo's Reinomori holds a used book fair three times a year; the heroine attended the July one, trying to find the picture book from her childhood, 'RaTaTaTaM'. Notably, RaTaTaTaM is a real book, and the anime even clearly shows its ISBN number. A search reveals it was written in 1973 by French author Peter Nickl. The French and English titles are both RaTaTaTaM. The book even has a Chinese edition titled 《窟嚓嚓：小火车头奇遇记》, but its cover style differs greatly from the English, French and Japanese editions and is not very attractive, and it is only sold through Dangdang and bundled with other picture books.
