Daihonzan Tofuku-ji Temple大本山東福寺EP 22026-01-28After climbing Inari Mountain, the Sensei group went on to Tofuku-ji.
Tofuku-ji seems to be one of the top autumn foliage spots in Kyoto.
Of course it is a famous tourist site, but since it is located somewhat away from central Kyoto, it is hard for school trips to easily extend there.
Its strong popularity comes not only from the autumn leaves but also from the Tsutenkyo bridge at the temple, which is one reason.
Standing on the bridge that spans the stream flowing below and is integrated with the temple, a gradient of autumn colors fills your view. The scenery, together with the temple's calm atmosphere, gives a truly elegant impression.
